Since last Friday, I have been anticipating today; the day in which I have to give my first speech in the Effective Public Speaking Course, in which I am required to take. *ugh* I'm not all that fond of public speaking. Had a horrible experience with it in high school. And the fear lingers on with me while I'm attending college.

The speech went well this morning, for it to be 8am. The topic I selected for the narrative speech was my most embarassing moment. It was about this one day in the sixth grade when my crush on this one guy in my class was revealed in front of everyone! I hid under a table because I was so embarassed! I had a small pause in the middle of the speech, but I was able to overcome it and finish up, thank goodness! A sigh of relief soon followed when I went to my seat. Everything was cool after that though. Well, almost.

And when I thought that that "nervous lump in my stomach" would disappear...here is something else to make it stay put.

What the heck did I get myself into?! I entered my name in a 3 point contest on Wednesday in order to win some free books from the campus bookstore. The contest is going to occur during Midnight Madness tonight at the Shoemaker center. I'm pretty sure that the local news stations will be there covering the UC's b-ball team's first official practice of the upcoming season. Little did I know that Midnight Madness is going to be broadcasted live over the Internet?!

The cool part about tonight's streaming broadcast is that my out of town friends and family can watch it. Or for the ones that don't make it to campus to see it in person.

I just hope and pray that I can make the 3 point shot!

Wish me luck! Check for the contest around 10:48 EST. Yep, 10:48; they got this event planned down to the minute!

Until next time...
